San Diego ends three-game winning streak with loss to Colorado.

Kim Ha-seong (29, San Diego Padres) has tasted his first home run in two months and has risen to 3rd place in the Korean Major League Baseball (MLB) career. On

the 17th (Korean time), Kim Ha-seong started as the 8th batter and shortstop in the game against the Colorado Rockies in the 2024 MLB held at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, USA, and hit a home run in the 2nd inning.

Coming to the plate in the top of the 2nd inning with one out and a runner on first base when San Diego was down 0-4, Kim Ha-seong threw a 152.6 km/h sinker inside on the 3rd pitch.

The ball flew at 164.2 km/h and cleared the left field fence. The distance was 123.4 m.

Kim Ha-seong hit a home run for the first time in 55 days since the game against the Milwaukee Brewers on June 23. It was his 11th home run of the season.

With his 47th career home run in the MLB, Kim Ha-seong surpassed Kang Jung-ho to take sole possession of third place on the all-time home run list by a Korean major leaguer.

Choo Shin-soo (currently with the SSG Landers) is in first place with 218 home runs. Choi Ji-man (67 home runs) is in second place, and Kang Jung-ho (46 home runs) is in fourth place. Kim Ha- seong did not get a hit in his subsequent at-bats. In the top of the fourth inning, with San Diego trailing 3-6, Kim Ha-seong walked in his second at-bat with one out and a runner on second base. He was unable to score as no follow-up hits occurred. In the 6th inning, he swallowed his disappointment by hitting into a double play. San Diego had a chance with runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out in the top of the 6th inning with Jackson Merrill's triple and David Peralta's walk. Kim Ha-seong, who came up to bat next, aimed for a high sinker at 154.7 km/h from Colorado's right-handed bullpen pitcher Angel Chivilli, but the ball rolled right to the third baseman, resulting in a double play. He struck out in the top of the 8th inning. He swung and missed on a low outside slider while batting with Seattle's right-handed pitcher Tyler Kinley for a full count. Kim Ha-seong finished the game with 1 hit (1 home run), 2 RBIs, 1 walk, and 1 run in 3 at-bats. Kim Ha-seong's season stats were a batting average of 0.229 (91 hits in 397 at-bats), 11 home runs, 47 RBIs, 60 runs, and an OPS (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 0.693. Despite Kim Ha-seong's home run, San Diego lost 3-7. Starting pitcher Matt Waldron was shaken by 9 hits (2 home runs) and 7 runs in 5⅔ innings, and he suffered a bitter defeat after 4 double plays. San Diego, which ended its 3-game winning streak, recorded 69 wins and 54 losses.  토토사이트
